Michael B. Feiler manages the firm. He has tried over 85 cases to jury verdict and is Board Certified in Civil Trial by the Florida Bar; in 2015, he was appointed to serve on the Florida Bar Civil Trial Certification Committee.
Mr. Feiler received his B.S. in 1987 from Florida State University and his J.D. Cum Laude in 1992 from the University of Florida with a class rank of 22/200. He was chosen by his peers as Outstanding Graduating Senior and elected to the Order of Barristers.
Mr. Feiler began his career at High, Stack, Lazenby & Palahach, where he became a name partner in 1998. He left the firm in 2000, and after a year of solo practice, he founded Feiler & Leach, P.L. in 2001.
Mr. Feiler is admitted to the Florida Bar; the United States District Courts in the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida; the United States Court of Federal Claims; and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits.
He a past Chair of the Florida Bar’s Eleventh Circuit Grievance Committee H; has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association; is a past President of the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association; and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Spellman-Hoeveler Inns of Court.
Mr. Feiler has served as a YLD Governor and national committee chair for the American Association of Justice. Mr. Feiler also has served on the Leadership Council for the College of Arts and Sciences at Florida State University, served on the national Board of Directors of Seminole Boosters, Inc.; and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Mr. Feiler has been repeatedly named as one of Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite, and as a Florida Super Lawyer by American Law Media. He is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has a perfect 10.0 rating by Avvo.
Mr. Feiler has tried cases to juries in state and federal courts throughout Florida. He also proudly serves as a pro bono guardian ad litem.
Mr. Feiler frequently lectures on police liability, attorney-client privilege issues, and ethics; and has served as an expert witness in these areas. Mr. Feiler has also been featured in numerous news articles and television appearances and has appeared as a guest on the Catherine Crier Show on Court TV.
